Charles F. Weinman | Charles F. Weinman was born in the Tacony Section of Philadelphia in 1918. He joined the US Navy in WWII and served aboard the USS Clemson (DD-186) in the Pacific. The Clemson was a reconverted destroyer that had served in the Battle of the Atlantic during World War II. In 1944, the ship was converted into a high speed transport and transferred to the Pacific taking part in several invasions. After the service, Charles married Ann J. Curcurito in 1943 and moved to Third Street in Delanco in 1951. After the war Charles had a long career with NJ Bell Telephone, retiring in 1980 as a Senior Switchman.
